Have you ever had an email bounce back to you that you didn't send?
Stolen email used to send spam emails is another common practice spammers use cover their tracks or create malicious intent on individuals. Unforunately, there is little that can be done to protect yourself from this.
What you can do!
Advise your Internet Service Provider (ISP) so they won't deny service to you. Also advise the Mail Server ISP that originated the bogus email. Alert your family, friends and associates so they are aware and can watch for atch for suspicious attachments coming from your email address. It is a good policy to always include something personal in the text body whenever you send an attachment to help the recipient know that it is from you and not a spammer.
Security on the internet is a big issue!
As users of the internet we need to be on alert and to voice our concern to service providers in hopes that they will develop technogy that will combat spamming.
